DFS was registered as a company

As Sir Richard Branson once said, “If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you’re not sure you can do it, say yes, then learn how to do it later.” Defining Future Solutions comprises C.E.O./Founder David Small and bootstrapped by thirty ‘friends and family’ Shareholder good humans.

Defining Future Solutions is a T.E.A.M, an acronym for “Together Everyone Achieves More,” our mission reflecting what Mary Kay Ash once said, “Think in terms of what’s good for the other person and success will seek you out.”

Learning from those before us

Inspiring is the story of Frank Bannigan whom founded Kambrook in Australia.

Frank and his electrical engineer Peter Talbot, invented the power board in 1972 but did not secure patent protection for it. That was the naivety of the 60’s and early 70’s, Kambrook power boards still a commonplace household item.

A Global Marketplace

Like the power board, the potential worth of this company product in the worldwide marketplace has application in every country.

Everything done so far has had careful execution and our product is perfect timing for the market, two of the five ingredients for what Bill Gross describes as the recipe for start-up success in his TED Talk ‘The single biggest reason why start-ups succeed.’

We're in good company

Our product will propel building safety into the 21st century, revolutionise what is on the market and be an innovation as iconic as other notable Australian technology inventions such as the black box flight recorder, the ultrasound scanner, the cochlear implant, the powerboard, wi-fi and the polilight forensic lamp amongst others.

Patent status granted

Our patent attorney, Clinton Priddle of Kings Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys here in Brisbane was advised on April 27 that IP Australia had provided granted patent status for the prototype built by our industrial designer, Alex Wall of Designworks, inset Clinton, David, Shareholder Representative Deloy Southon and Alex.
